Marked by the «Hermetic» thought which has given rise to so many liberating philosophies, schools of thought and spiritual movements, the gnostic current underlies all the whole spiritual life of the West and the Middle East. All great civilisations have been enlightened by it:
Essenes, gnostic Christians, Mystery schools, Manicheans, Cathars, Alchemists, Rosicrucians of the 17th century ... all testify to the continuity of this spiritual current.
In the face of the ordinary dogmatic approach, they have kept alive the tradition of salvation through knowledge: the Gnosis.
Heir to the gnostic tradition which it enlivens in our time, the Golden Rosycross fulfils today a triple mission :
It reminds us of the nobility of the true human state so that we may go the path of soul Rebirth
It makes known what happens on this Path, in other words, the phases of this process of inner transformation
It offers concrete ways of going the proposed Path through spiritual
activities in conformity with the Teaching of inner Christianity
Its aim is to lead back those who search for the profound meaning of their existence to the state of true human being into the true field of life : the original Kingdom of Light.
In the purest tradition of the Mystery Schools, it shows how behind the mental and emotional play, the original and immutable principle of Light, the Spirit spark vibrates whose awakening opens the way to the true life and gives insight into the Mysteries.
On this basis, it envisions the birth of a completely new thinking which
will allow mankind to freely rediscover its original destiny.
Calling for a rebirth of the hermetic and gnostic thinking, they endeavoured through their writings to rekindle the profound liberating quality of original Christianity: the resurrection of the inner man.
They offered the world a general reform of the arts, sciences and religions, a broad synthesis of Goodness, Truth and Justice which could guide humanity towards the realisation of the sublime goal of life.

Through the legend of Christian Rosycross, (the Christian who opens the Rose of the liberated soul on the cross of his own body by an alchemical transformation) is presented a complete renewal of the human being and humanity.
In our time, Jan Van Rijckenborgh and Catharose de Petri, in founding the Golden Rosycross, had as task to clearly reveal the still veiled spiritual teachings of the gnostic texts of all times with the help of the hermetic Wisdom underlying the Rosicrucian texts, the very example of a pure inner search.
Thus, they actualised and made accessible to all the Universal Teaching
and the liberating path of the spirit-soul-man, the man as microcosm, image
and synthesis of the universe.
The Golden Rosycross draws on these testimonies, but its strength lies in the fact that it has found again and vivified these eternal truths in our time, and that it can revivify them again in our heart. .
From Egypt (the Temple of man), Greece (the Mystery Schools), from the Essenes to the pure Christianity of the first centuries, from the cosmic Christianity of Mani and the Cathars to the Alchemists and the Rosicrucians, everywhere the same universal Idea radiates.
The human being, divine thought, key of the Universe, is unlimited in
its consciousness. In its heart rests the entire Plan of the universal
genesis but it must be reborn to this dimension.
We do not belong only to this nature but also to an original perfect world for which we still long
We feel ourselves strangers to this nature as we possess in our heart a spark of the original life
In this spark of absolute perfection, this «Rose of the Spirit», is hidden the plan of return, the possibility of reconstruction of the perfect being which we essentially are
Although beings of flesh and blood undergoing the hold of this nature, we possess a consciousness whose possibilities once united with the spark of the origin, liberates the Knowledge &endash; the Gnosis &endash; of the path of return to the divine Fatherland.
An immense process which has to be accomplished in us while we are living, may give rise to the new consciousness and, on the basis of the desire for return, bring us back to the state of perfection of the original man.
This process implies the knowledge of the plan (initiation) and a demeanor (the setting aside of the ego, love towards all, freedom from all the conditioning of the mind and the emotions) that will prepare us to receive and assimilate the spiritual forces that will bring about the Transfiguration in us
This knowledge can be transmitted by those who have realised this resurrection of the original consciousness in themselves.
The Aim of the School of the Golden Rosycross is to guide and closely connect to this source those who truly yearn for it so that, transformed, they may enter into this new human state and thus may become true servants of humanity.
At the basis of this striving lies a PLAN, a universal knowledge, a method which the Rosycross, faithful to its Christian orientation, has always followed.
First and foremost, it is essential that the desire for such an inner transformation of the heart and of the mind is present in the seeker who will then create in him or herself the physical, psychological and mental conditions necessary for the emergence of a new consciousness principle. New soul-forces will make of him a true human being capable of thinking, desiring and acting in accordance with inner spiritual requirements. The aim of the Rosycross therefore is in accordance with the Universal Teaching of liberation as it is made manifest at the heart of original Christianity:
To sow the seeds of a real brotherhood oriented towards humanity's sublime destiny.
This sublime goal to which we all have always been called implies the rejection of all illusions, of all ties to authorities, visible and invisible masters, here below as well as in the subtle worlds of the hereafter, of all intolerance towards those whose heart leads them to seek other ways.
It places us before the only requirement in accordance with the yearning for Love and Perfection that vibrates in the depth of our heart : to discover in ourselves the door to the immovable Kingdom and enter into the realms of eternity while living.
The Rosycross postulates here below a body of undeniable fact, the reality
of the true human state that rises far above religious and sectarian dogma
as well as any ideology.
In fact, many sense in the atmosphere the manifestation of a totally new field of consciousness, of a totally different concept of the human being and they yearn for an awakening. They no longer want to believe but rather «to understand in order to come to realisation».
Consequently, the Rosycross makes known the requirements of the coming era and announces the grand possibility of liberation.
It addresses itself to all those who because of an inner yearning for the perfect life are predisposed to search for the Absolute, to all those who recognizze that a profound inner change is essential and who feel themselves called, regardless of race, social environment or religion.
The Golden Rosycross attempts to form a community of living souls capable of participating again in the universal manifestation.
It acknowledges that religions, sects and ideologies endeavour to lead
men towards moral progress and an improvement in their state of being,
but its goal being totally different, it gathers those who, because of
their thirst for Perfection and Truth, have decided to undertake &endash;
on the basis of the original life principle in themselves &endash;
the complete regeneration of their being, and consequently, that of mankind.
The pupil of such a School who, by active deed, has awakened discernment and consciousness, liberates his heart of earthly emotions and personal tendencies, and discovers and practises compassion and love. In this way, one can develop a new attitude to life.
By knowledge of self and of the laws of life, establish in oneself a sound basis for thinking and acting so as to restore the meaning of one's life, that is : to proceed towards the great goal of soul rebirth.
Bringing order and balance to one's life according to a high moral and spiritual way of life based on tolerance, non-violence, love of others and respect for all forms of life.
Seeking a certain control over external and particularly of inner situations.
Rising above instincts and passions and to discovering the great peace of the soul.
Drawing from the Source of all life the energy that can dissolve in us any crystallisation (alchemy).
Enabling the rebirth of the immortal soul and its manifestation in all realms of matter and Spirit.
Becoming a totally new Spirit-Soul-Man suited to working for the great
renewal of the world and humanity.
The Rosycross brings no dogma, no infallible recipe, no emotional mysticism, nor magical practice.
It never brings one into contact with forces or entities from the other side of the veil or with «invisible masters» from the astral world but its goal is to free mankind from any influence be it earthly or astral. It avoids all sectarianism, all restrictive ideology, all dogmatic belief and all fanatical thinking.
The Rosycross works in the world but its aims are not of this world.
The great Brotherhood of manking has nothing to do with any form of government, ideal society, theocracy nor with any of the many heavens of the invisible realms in the world on the other side of the veil, the realm of the dead.
Moreover, the Brotherhood has no need to be « created » since it has always existed.
As mankind has long excluded itself and withdrawn itself into a finite world of space and time of the universal creation &endash; having forgotten its true origin &endash; it calls us incessantly to return to our true Fatherland.
Linked to the universal Brotherhood of the liberated ones and in accordance with the task bestowed upon it, the Golden Rosycross makes known and explains to the seekers of Truth the ancient message of salvation in its most universal form.
It tries, once more, to make mankind conscious of the unique concrete path, the path of the fulfilment of true human destiny.
It offers:
A liberating philosophy, the philosophy of the living Truth which calls for a transformation of the human being,
A radiating Force, recognised and felt by the heart, which can bring about a complete transfiguration of one's being,
A community of souls oriented to the unique Goal.
All those who so desire can thus find again, by a deep inner spiritual revolution, the link to the original human field of life.
